South Jersey Autocross (Event #2) - March 23, 2003 Photos | AUTOX4U.COM Results | Subaru Challenge Info. | Other Future Events
________ Cheryl Connelly's photos @ imagestation.com ________ This was South Jersey's second event for the 2003 Subaru Challenge Series, and as luck would have it, my CRX was put back together boasting brand, spankin' new Koni Yellows, and a new OEM master cylinder and brake caliper. The Konis made a huge difference over the stockers which racked up over 150,000 miles. Not knowing much about them, I cranked them up a 1/2 turn on all four corners from their softest setting. The course was set up by Andre Downing, who is known for setting up great course and driving incredibly fast. [Andre placed 2nd in DS and 13th in overall PAX, driving a Subaru WRX.] Top five in PAX: 1st - Tad Kaminski (Honda Civic Si) (STS) 2nd - Thomas Buckley (Subaru WRX) (STS) 3rd - Corey Ridgick (?) (STS) 4th - Jim Blanton (Mazda Miata) (CS) 5th - Brian Conners (Porsche 911 Turbo) (ASP) Brian not only won a few bucks, but also posted the Fastest Time of the Day (FTD) while co-driving Patrick Wayman's Porsche 911 Turbo. Pat finished 6th overall in PAX and just out of the money. The 911 was really hooked up on Sunday, and just about everyone who saw it noted how flat the thing cornered. Later I was speaking to Pat... He commented on how much better the CRX looks while it was on course.
